"Zep"

A young "Granville's Heavy Metal" stands next to a solid black Kahn. He got his name because his coat was the color of lead as a pup. Since lead is a heavy metal.....well.....get it? Call name "Led" Zeppelin, or "Zep" for short. The coat color of blues are always the lightest when they are young pups. Their coats then go through a continuous cycle of darkening. Many times alternating between darkening and lightening as they go through the many coat changes while maturing into adult dogs.

Zep and Kahn

This photo and the one above are a bit scratchy due to the shape of the negatives.

Zep(left) stands next to Kahn. The difference in coat color is evident in this picture.

As with many Blues Zep had stunning yellow eyes. Sadly Zep is no longer with us and is patiently awaiting his loving owner, Judith's arrival at Rainbow Bridge.

Judith tells me of a dog who was a big loveable companion. One who is sorely missed. Here he sits with Judith's friend "Lora Lora". Someone forgot to tell Zep he wasn't a lap dog!

To Zep, love Judith....... If the sun refused to shine I would still be loving you. When mountains crumble to the sea, there will still be you and me. (Led Zeppelin, from the song, "Thank You")
