UKC Champion Jodel's the Phantom. Call name "Dunny" as a young pup. Like all blues Dunny had startling blue eyes up until about 10 weeks of age.
Dunny as a 4 year old adult shown here with his loving owner Carole Knight. Dunny's stack was a bit extended as he moved just as the camera clicked.
Dunny, like most blues had very light eyes. Although a dog does not need to be a dilute to have light eyes, they are often referred to as "Bird of Prey" eyes. These photos are many years old and Dunny has now been retired from stud service.
This is perhaps one of the funniest photos I've ever seen. Dunny had quite the personality and as this picture shows, an extremely even temperament as well as much tolerance for all creatures great and small!! His owner had taken him for a photo with Santa at the local pet store when just before the photos was to be taken, another customer patiently waiting in line with his pet was horrified to see his Cockatiel fly off and land on Dunny's head. I think Dunny's comical expression says it all. For a moment there was an audible gasp from the crowd who no doubt thought the bird was going to be Dunny's lunch. However Dunny took it all in stride and his owner shouted, "Quick! Take the picture!" The bird survived the incident unscathed and his owner had a photo to cherish forever of her dog and the day a bird decided to use his head as an unlikely perch.
