Denim with his owner Tammy's son. Denim has a large amount of white on him which is unrelated to the blue dilution gene. These patches of white on his chest, toes and the tip of his tail are due to the spotting series and is quite common (although undesireable) in the GSD breed. However Denim does express more of the spotting series than I have ever seen on a GSD!
Denim is a solid blue GSD. If Denim had not received two copies of the dilution gene he would have been a solid black patterned dog. The solid gene and the blue gene are completely unrelated.
Denim is certainly a handsome boy!
And I think he knows it too!
