These two Chocolate Liver pups are out of von Bruin lines. These photos were originally sent to me in December of 1999. The breeder was not exactly wanting to advertise that she had whelped a surprise pair of Livers and had no idea her bitch carried the Liver recessive (nor the stud she had used)at the time of the mating.
Chocolate is one of two color variations Livers come in. The other being Cinnamon which is a definate red color as opposed to the dark brown of the Chocolate variation. As of now we are not sure exactly what modifiers are at work to cause these two variations.
